Naples Beaches

Sunny skies, gulf breezes, and vibrant flowers and greenery make Naples a wonderful place to enjoy the great outdoors. There are public beaches and parks in abundance. Here's some information regarding the beaches and parks so that you can get outside and take advantage of all that the city has to offer. With over 10 miles of white powdered sand on the Gulf of Mexico shoreline, there are many hot spots to go to enjoy the beach in Naples. Many of the side street beaches and main beaches with larger lots have the ability to pay to park, yet if you want to enjoy the beach on a regular basis, you can look into getting a Collier County beach parking permit.

Naples Pier

Location: 12th Avenue S. and Gulf Shore Blvd. Hours: Open 24 hours Phone: 239-213-3062 This historic part of Naples is a great spot to enjoy shopping, fishing, and sunbathing. You can fish off of the pier without having a fishing license. There is beach pass and metered parking on 12th Avenue yet there is also parking on nearly every access point nearby at the western end of each east-west avenue, making it easy to park and walk to the pier. There are restrooms, vollyball court, concessions, and sight seeing of the sea life and pelicans.

Naples Beach Hotel

Location: 851 Gulf Shore Boulevard N. - Public Parking on 8th Avenue N. Hours: 11:am-Midnight (1:00am Fri and Sat) Phone: 239-261-2222 ext. 2938 The Sunset Beach Bar at the Naples Beach Hotel is a great place to grab a drink while watching the sunset or the dolphins play in the water. Sunday and Monday evenings often boast of fun life entertainment for your enjoyment as you sip your drink or lounge on the beach. You can also order delicious food to enjoy from their great restaurant.

Lowdermilk Park and Beach

Location: Banyan Boulevard and Gulf Shore Drive Hours: 8am-Dusk Phone: 239-219-3029 Lowdermilk has a lot to offer: a large parking lot, restrooms, showers, pavilions for rent, shaded huts on the beach, beach vollyball courts, concessions, picnic tables and children's playgrounds. You can pay to park or use your beach permit to park here, and there is even more parking on the street. You can rent the pavilions for parties and special occasions.

North Gulf Shore Beach

Location: North end of Gulf Shore Blvd. - Also parking available at the Seagate Condominiums Hours: 8am-Dusk Phone: 239-252-4000 To enjoy this elegant beach you much have a beach parking permit. Fish along some of the side waters nearby or enjoy the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and the shore. It is a great place to hunt for shells and look for dolphins.

Clam Pass Park and Beach

Location: West end of Pine Ridge Road adjacent to the Naples Grande Resort, 475 Seagate Dr. Hours: 8am-Dusk Phone: 239-252-4000 One of the unique aspects of this beach is the three quarter mile boardwak which connects the parking lot to the beach. It gives a scenic view of the natural mangroves of Florida as well as many of the fish and birds in the area. You can walk the stretch or ride to the beach on the golf cart trolleys that go back and forth continuously throughout the day. This is a great place for the whole family as there are beach supply rentals such as towels, chairs and umbrellas as well as recreational rentals such as the canoes, Hobie Cats and water bikes. There is also food and beverages for purchase at the concession and restroom facilities.

Vanderbilt Beach

Location: West end of Vanderbilt Beach Hours: 8am-Dusk Phone: 239-252-4000 This public beach has easy access for all coming by boat, car, bike or on foot. There is a large parking structure with 340 spaces free for those with beach parking permits or a fee of $8. The parking garages is just west of the Ritz Hotel entrance making the beach just a short walk away. There is alo a great bike rack for those coming on bike. There are showers and restrooms available at Vanderbilt Beach as well. There are concessions and water sports rentals and a convenient store close by.

Conner Park Beach

Location: 111th Ave N. Hours: 8am-Dusk Phone: 239-252-4000 At Connor Park there is a three quarter mile walking trail, fishing area and open play area. There iss parking just a short distance away with 80 spaces available for those with a beach parking permit.

Delnor-Wiggins Pass - Florida State Park

Location: 11135 Gulfshore Dr Hours: 8am-Dusk Phone: 239-597-6196 Fees: $6/vehicle (2-8 people) or $4/vehicle (1 person). $2/pedestrians and bicyclists and passengers in a vehicle with a holder of an Annual Individual Entrance Pass. Using the boat ramp costs an extra $5. Naples is home to one of Florida's gorgeous state parks. With 166 acres to explore, there are endless things to do for everyone in the family. Enjoy the water view or go fishing from the shore of the beach or out on the boat. Enjoy a picnic at one of the many picnic areas or under the covered pavilion and also available to rent, accommodating up to 100 people. There are also guided tours, wildlife viewings, snorkling, and an interpretive exhibit. Pets are welcome in the park but not on the beaches and much be kept leashed at all time. This is for the safety of your pet and the other guests. There are six restroom facilities throughout the park and are all ADA accessible.

Permits for Collier County Beach Parking 

Beach parking permits are available for full time residents, part time residents and visitors. All permits are good for one year.

Full Time Residents

You must provide the following to obtain a parking permit:
  • Original Collier County Vehicle Registration
  • Original Collier County Driver's License

Part Time Residents

Youmucht provide the following to obtain a parking permit:
  • Original Veghicle Registration or rental car agreement
  • Original Driver's License (from any state)
  • Current Collier County Tax Statement or deed or current closing paper for a property

Visitors

If you do not qualify for a full time or part time resident permit you may obtain a permit for a low cost of $50.
