It’s no fluke – for the ninth consecutive year, the Creek Course at Fiddler’s Creek in Naples has been ranked in prestigious Golfweek Magazine’s “Top 100 Residential Golf Courses throughout the United States.” The hugely popular Arthur Hills-designed course is the only one in Southwest Florida to earn this achievement nine years in a row.
The Creek Course is an 18-hole, par-72 masterpiece that was designed to be integrated seamlessly with the luxury community of Fiddler’s Creek in which it resides. It plays in perfect harmony with the natural surroundings of the flawlessly maintained landscaping, and the course continuously tiptoes the line between being challenging and being fun for all ages and skill levels.
The course was reviewed by over 700 golf course raters across the country, and was up against nearly 3,000 other worthy tracks nationwide.
Since the ratings system was implemented in 1997, Golfweek has created a reputation for being one of the most respected ranking structures in the industry. The strict guidelines take into account the courses’ overall strength of feature shaping, routing, natural setting, variety, greens, conditioning and maintenance, and memorability of the holes.
The Creek Course at Fiddler’s Creek was opened on February 1st, 2002, and since then has also received recognition in Links Magazine as being one of the country’s 100 Premier Properties, as well as being named one of America’s Top 100 Golf Communities by Travel + Leisure Golf Magazine.
The luxurious community of Fiddler’s Creek covers almost 4,000 acres and is zoned for just 6,000 residents. When totally completed, the community will have nearly 100 unique subdivisions, despite only 1/3 of the land being developed. The rest will be dedicated to natural reserves, lakes, parks, recreational areas, and golf courses.
