Smoking has been a controversial issue for many. Lately, health risks are being highly considered by most of the populace across the globe. More and more individuals are now aware of the health perils resulting from abusive smoking. It has been proven by various studies that second smoking is even more hazardous.
In this line of thought, the Homeowner’s Association of Laguna Village in Fiddler’s Creek is considering a total ban in smoking. There are currently 128 properties in this upscale community and residents have been complaining cigarette smokes drifting from one lanai to another.
Currently, Laguna Village is the only community that is considering banning smoking. The said ban will be imposing a ruling that homeowners will not be allowed to smoke in their lanai and including all common areas. However, in whatever new ruling there are always those who will oppose it. One of the oppositions reason is that they are paying pricey association fees and that is enough to give them a say in this matter. Opinions will be collected through a poll. Presently, calls are being made but some were not even returned. This matter will be a tough issue that needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
