According to a 2013 survey carried out by Bankrate, closing costs have risen 6% nationwide from last year, and Florida is no exception. 

The 20th most expensive state in 2012, Florida has jumped to 9th on the list, and the numbers considered don’t even include title insurance, taxes, and other fees. The average closing cost across the country is $2,402, while in Florida that number is slightly bumped up to $2,517.

After an August that saw 4 sales that totaled more than $3 million, Grey Oaks Country Club has reported that their year-to-date sales volume now exceeds a whopping $57 million. 

The luxury golf community also saw impressive buyer traffic as well, with 38 visitors in the month of August. The sales for this month included two gorgeous coach homes in Traditions at Grey Oaks, a homesite in Miramonte, and a brand-new, custom residence also in the same subdivision.

In 2012, Grey Oaks completed some 56 transactions, totaling $61,034,084, which represented a nearly 300% percent increase from the previous year. The community is well on track to beat that number by the end of 2013.
